Easy Cereal Snack Bars for Kids By Rachel Paxton

It's hard to find simple snacks after school for children. This cereal bar recipes easy to make and is made up of children favorite breakfast cereals.
Rice Krispies treats
2 / 3 c. butter 1 pkg. (10 oz., Around 40) large marshmallows or 4 c. miniature marshmallows 6 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal
Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. And add marshmallows stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal until well coated. Press mixture into buttered 13x9x2-inch baking meal. Cut into squares.
Variations: Instead of Rice Krispies, Cocoa Krispies use, Lucky Attraction, or Fruity Pebbles.
Peanut treat: Add 1 cup salted peanuts with cereal.
Peanut Butter treat: Stir 1 / 4 cup peanut butter into marshmallow mixture before adding cereal.
Gummy Worm Marshmallow Bars: Add 1 c. gummy worms, cut half, when active in cereal.
Captain Crunch Peanut Butter Cookies
2 c. Captain Crunch peanut butter cereal 2 c. Rice Krispies 1-1/2 pounds white almond bark 2 c. 2 c. salted peanuts colored marshmallows
Melt almond bark and marshmallows in a saucepan over low heat and pour over cereals and peanuts. Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper or to include in the 9x13-inch (buttered) into the pot and cut the box.
Special K Bars
1 / 2 c. light Karo syrup 1 / 2 c. sugar 3 / 4 c. 3 c. nuts Special K cereal
Mixture of Karo syrup, sugar, beans, and in large saucepan. Heat to boiling. Mix Special K. Press mixture into buttered 9x9-in. baking dish. Cool and cut into the box.
Topping:
1 c. butterscotch chips 1 c. chocolate chips
Melt chips together and spread over bars. If too thick to spread, add a little milk until desired consistency.
Hail Bars
1 / 2 c. nuts
Bring sugar and honey to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from hot, stir in peanut butter until blended. Pour in cheerios and peanuts and mix until well coated. Press mixture into buttered 13x9x2-in. baking dish. Let cool and cut into squares.
