Simple Carbs Versus Complex Carbs By Theresa Stauffer
Sunday, January 25, 2009

We have seen all the ads for no-carb and low-carb diet and food, but children and adults need to Most carbohydrate foods contain carbohydrates, the body that breaks down into simple sugars, which is the main source of energy for the body. However, not all created equal carbohydrate, there are 2 main types of carbs, simple and complex. Simple carbs are bad carbs and should be avoided. Complex carbs actually goo for your body and their needs.

Simple carbs are for the most part with some fine sugars and vitamin nutrition. Body quickly converts into sugar into the blood, which caused energy rush. You also get the insulin spike to combat the sugar and if you eat too many simple carbs you are likely on the way to diabetes. Now, not all simple carbs are bad, there are fruits and vegetables is good because it contains fiber, vitamins and nutrients. You should stay away from processed food smooth, white bread and pasta, sweet drinks and so forth.

Complex carbs and sugars are very complex, full of vitamins, nutrients and fiber, they will be longer for the body to digest and does not increase blood sugar quickly. They will be used as fuel or stored as a useful source of energy in the body. Including vegetables, whole grains and cereals.

Now you can eat the bread-and-paste but you need to eat whole grain / whole wheat bread and pasta. Whole grains are what you want but it is the food industry and take advantage of putting on the label but at least in food. It may say all the wheat and then when you read the label has enriched / bleached flour in as the main material, followed by wheat. So what you are getting a lot of simple carbs, not the good that you get the complex carbs. Always check the label and see the main ingredients in bread and cereals. You will also see that all the grain is being added to the childrens cereal box, but they are full of sugar that is easily carb.

Yesterday about carbohydrate diet may not no carb or low carb, but more precisely in the right carbs. Not all carbs and the body is not bad for their energy needs. Most of your carbs should come from complex, while the simple need to come from people who can use your body, such as orange juice. You can use the body's vitamin C and if you buy one with added calcium you get the advantage. Make sure you read the label on the item you are buying to make sure all the grain / whole wheat. Stay away from items that contain rich and bleached flour. Choosing carbs will put you on the way to a healthy diet.
